After laboring over which parka-jacket to buy, I really think I made the right buy for me. I am in the tree care business where I get in and out of my truck alot in all winter weather conditions. This parka is medium weight, warm in cold weather, but doesn't get me hot like my other work coats. I en...

My husband almost always wears a medium (on rare occasion small in a shirt). He's 5'9" and 155 pounds. This jacket in medium was way too small. I ordered the blue for him and we both loved the color -- not a bright royal blue but soft medium blue, definitely not a color one sees much. Striking but quiet. At any rate, large was no longer available so I took a chance and ordered extra-large, thinking I'd certainly have to return the 2nd attempt, too. Lo & Behold, he tried it on and said, "So what doesn't fit about this?" It's a bit wide and sleeves a tad long (where the medium was correct sleeve length), but pulling the drawstring on the bottom some and snugging the velcro tabs on the sleeves make it work. With a sweater underneath he thinks it will be perfect. And he loves the color and styling, too. I'm glad he ignores what the size on the label says. I will add that he while he may wear the inner fleece separately, he'd never be able wear the jacket without the fleece inner jacket. Then it would be considerably too big. Overall, another very good Sierra Trading Post find!

This is a good 3 season jacket with the flexibility of a 3-in-1 coat. The gold color is quite nice in person, I thought it might be too yellow, but not the case. The front pockets aren't insulated, not a big deal. The zippers have a quality feel to them. Not a winter jacket for Chicago, but for all but the coldest December and January days it is a nice addition to the coat closet. I've never heard of this brand but would consider purchasing more of their gear based on this jacket's construction.
