“The great advantage of ear warmers is that you can wear them with a regular hat and they look reasonable. These are comfy and do a great job of protecting ears from wind, but they block far more sound than a watch cap or fleece headband. If you are used to audio cues, you will have to pay close attention. They are nice and warm, though, and they are great for going to work or other contexts for which a fleece headband or wool watch cap is not appropriate.”
