Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by darin from idaho on Wednesday, November 6, 2013I bought these on sale at STP and they have become my favorite triathlon shorts. Super comfy and functional. They have even beaten out my DeSoto shorts. They fit great, and it is the pockets that I love the best. You can fit everything you need for a 70.3 tri in these....2 x 6 oz gel flasks, some endurolytes, and perpetual all fit nicely into four pockets. The ppockets in the middle of the back support the weight of the gels, and there is no sagging. I ran a local 20 mile trail run race in these, even with the chamois....that's how comfy they are. I look once a week to see if my size is available.
Reviewed by babelaj from Tennessee on Friday, August 16, 2013Great shorts - they swim well and dry quickly. Great on the bike, but the pad is a bit too thick for what I would prefer with running. I would rather give up some of the padding on the bike ride for a more comfortable run. Other than that, I really enjoy the shorts. There are 2 pockets on the back (which are great) and one on each side at the bottom.
Reviewed by M from California on Monday, June 10, 2013Fits well. Chamois provided cushioning but not too bulky. Fine for running. I haven't swum in them yet. I hope it's not too strange to swim with a pad on your rear end.
I liked the small pockets on the side and the rear.
Reviewed by Bruce from CA on Thursday, March 28, 2013Ordered a large I'm 5' 10 175 lbs most triathlon stuff is Euro sized and is usually small.
These were way big and closeout so no mediums available :(
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sam from Atlanta, GA on Wednesday, November 28, 2012These are my favorite cycle and tri shorts. They breath as good or better than any other shorts Ive worn. The highlight is the leg grippers stay put with out pinching. I've moved all my other bike shorts out because they just arent as comfortable as the 2XU comp short. Havent taken the most recent more padded version for a swim yet but the 2009 model has perfomed flawlessly through many triathalons and probably a hundred bike rides and washes.
Question & Answer
“I typically wear a size 42 waist in my dress/work pants. Which would be best for me, the XL or XXL?”
I think the XL would be best.
