    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I rated it 3 because for a child or for someone catching fish in a small boat in a creek it would work. However it is a bait casting rod and I use spinning reels.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    This is listed as a spin cast rod, but it is not. It has the 'trigger' underneath and the reel seat on top: that identifies it as a Bait Casting rod. A traditional spinning reel will not work with this rod.
