5.0 out of 5 stars. Mens 5.11 tacticalReviewed by BCW from Northern California on Friday, February 13, 2015I started using these about 5-6 months ago when the fall weather was setting in and they are awesome! I am a delivery driver on my feet all day in all types of terrain. I have never had a problem with the traction, love the insole Ortholite and would recommend these to anyone. If they had my size I would order more. Great waterproof shoe that you won't have to worry about. The size 13 was true to other size 13's I own.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Very disappointed in this 5.11 T productReviewed by Shoeless Joe from Wisconsin on Monday, February 2, 2015Received the shoes and put them on. I was impressed with the way they looked and felt. They're lightweight and fit well. I was a little concerned at the materials that were used, as some seemed a little light-duty for a man's shoe. My fears were quickly realized, as the top PLASTIC lace eye snapped, making it impossible to lace the shoes up. This type of hardware is what I would expect from a $20 pair of made in China shoes, not a pair of made in China 5.11 tacticals. There are some things that you can't cut corners on to save a penny, the top lace eye is one of them. A brass eye would have likely increased the cost by 14 cents, but made the item immeasurably better.

3.0 out of 5 stars. nice looking shoe but not wideVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Alaska on Wednesday, January 14, 2015This shoe looks like a good, solid shoe and would have been a great purchase except the 8.5W is not a wide shoe - at all. It's narrower than some of my husbands normal shoes. Disappointed as otherwise it looks like it would have been a great shoe with all the right features for this area. Returning purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Not true to size, but so far good qualityVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Minnesota on Friday, December 12, 2014I have to preface this review by saying I have foot problems and it's a constant struggle to find shoes that fit. I tried these on in a store and they felt amazing. Ordered online for 1/2 the price. My foot measures a Men's 8, Wide, but since wide widths can be hard to find, I've always worn Regular width in 8.5 or 9. I ordered 8.5 Wide (from a different website) and this should have been perfect, but the shoes were too SHORT! Fit perfectly in the width though. Had to order 9's from Sierra and they are a bit too big but it's the best I've been able to find. I need something sturdy, with a stiff sole and these fit that bill. My main complaint about the actual shoes (rather than the fit) is the shoelaces are WAY too long. I will have to replace them since even double-knotted the laces still drag on the ground. I've been wearing these shoes for a week so I can't give a solid review of quality, but there don't seem to be any weak places, and they are waterproof walking in snow, slush and light rain. I haven't stood in puddles nor a downpour yet.
All in all I'm content with these shoes. They are much better than the Sketchers I was wearing before that only lasted 4 months - we'll see how these hold up over time. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Very comfortable showVerified Buyer Reviewed by Reno the property manager from South Carolina on Monday, November 3, 2014I really like having a hiking type boot to work in. These were very comfortable right out of the box. I spend a good bit of the day on my feet so comfort is very important to me. I've not had the opportunity to test the waterproof capabilities of these shoes, but feel confident they will hold up. Very good grip on the soles.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Requires some breaking-inVerified Buyer Reviewed by halwardri from Northeast on Wednesday, October 29, 2014Size 15 shoes usually are a bit large for me (size 14s are a little small - guess I'm a perfect 14.5). So I was surprised when the 5.11 shoes initially felt small.
Because I liked their looks generally, I wore them around the house for awhile, and after a week or so, they were quite comfortable. Of course, only time will tell about durability and performance in wet weather. -
3.0 out of 5 stars. Okay for light dutyVerified Buyer Reviewed by Texstever from Texas on Wednesday, October 29, 2014These felt comfortable right out of the box and work well for short hikes. Not good for rugged rocky terrain.

5.0 out of 5 stars. ComfortableVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ranger Rick from Wisconsin on Wednesday, October 29, 2014Fit well true to size. Forefoot roomy, found these were comfortable all day. Reasonable price. Only had for a month, so long term durability still being tested, though no obvious issues at this time.
