Bottom Line:

“This is a great coat. I would not pay the full price for it. This is my first 66 North gear and the coat does live up to the goal of the company. The only drawback is that the zipper jams a little and it takes a while to put on. It is VERY warm, I'm in Alaska, and blocks the wind well, but I wouldn't take it hiking or backpacking (wrong cut). I would wear it for short easy hikes. It breathes well and offers great face protection so you don't need a scarf. The sleeves are long and overall, the coat is easy to operate with gloves on (except the zipper). Nice draw-cords and great pockets. The coat is roomy. It also takes a short time to dry. I love the hood which blocks the wind and cold. Pity the cut isn't good for extreme winter adventure-as it is a too little long, heavy and bulky for extreme winter adventure, but I wouldn't return it. This coat will probably last a couple of years.”
