I was looking for something a bit lighter to keep in the truck for sudden Spring/Summer rains - this thing though...'heavy' is an understatement, at nearly 4 lbs.! I guess I'll keep it, unless I find some poor soul that's off to Alaska to go work on a crab boat! I can't recommend it to a friend, but I can't deny it is a well made piece of foul weather gear.

Serious jacket for serious conditions. The color is awful but could save your life. The jacket is heavy, and heavy duty. My only gripe is that it doesn't breathe AT ALL. Even a couple small underarm grommets would have been better than nothing. For the price I paid, i am very happy with the quality and construction, just wish it had a vent or two built in

I'm always looking for a good deal on quality PVC raingear for commercial fishing in Alaska. You sacrifice a little bit of durability with this jackets material (compared to a heavier PVC jacket) but the loss is worth it for the stretchiness and comfort of the fabric. I bought this one to replace an almost identical 66 North jacket that I've used for 4 seasons up in Bristol Bay, AK. Recommended. Only CON is that the arms always run a bit long in these jackets. I always just roll them up a bit and have never had any problems with them.

I wore this coat almost every day last week in the rainy weather we had in CT- I live and work on the water- it is wind proof and waterproof- everything you'd expect from a heavy duty piece of weather gear. This one is exceptionally well cut- easy to get over the head, and easy to move in. The rubber is supple, and not overly cumbersome while moving. Note however, that this is not a light rain-coat as one of the previous reviewers noted- it is the real deal. As with any rubber coat- if you wear it with anything other than foul weather bottoms- all the water will run onto your pants/shorts, and soak them.
