  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Fun, functional, and eye-catching

I bought this coat to give some versatility to my 'boarding wardrobe. It isn't as good of a coat as my higher-end 'boarding coat however, it is bright and fun and still does the job. I 'board on a mountain that is often fog-covered and my other white coat makes me blend in with the surroundings (hence why I was looking for something brighter). I also bought it for the length so when I tumble down in the powder I would still come up dry. The length is great and with a pair of high-waisted snow pants, I find I do keep very dryaround the middle . The powder skirt is also great, thick, and funcitonal and helps keep me warm. I do have to layer under this coat since the insulation isn't great, but that is ok. Since it is bulky, layering isn't a problem. I don't like the sleeve cuffs and had to end up buying a pair of mittens that have gators at the wrists since I found after my first day of wearing this coat, my under sleeve-layers were soaked. You can easily adjust the cuffs to be tighter however, if you stumble or "drag your knuckles" like many 'boarders do, you will end up with cold wrists at the end of an awesome day. I also found the hood to be a good size to fit over a helmet or at least shield me from the wind. I also enjoy how easy it is to find other accessories/pants/mittens to match with all the colors going on with this coat.

I bought this for a ski trip to New England. keeps you warm if you are active, but was not so warm for walking around the village, unless several layers underneath--then fit was a bit snug. I can not say enough how cheap and awful the zipper is
