By denalaska from Palmer. AK on 01/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable under pack, Lightweight, Lots of extras, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Liner slips out sleeve, Needs tabs to hold liner Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Cross country skiing, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: like everything except the fact that the liner comes out of the sleeves when you take the jacket off! The hat, the mirror & the pass pocket in the cuff are cool extras too.
By ms skier from mississippi on 12/28/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: i wore this jacket on a recent ski trip in temperature in the teens. jacket is roomy enough for extra layering. i did take a suggestion from another post and unzipped the liner from the jacket and zipped it as a separate layer. this worked really well.
By cpatron from lake villa, IL on 12/06/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Windproof Cons: Inadequate Protection, Liner sleeves dont attch, Slightly cool 4 midwest, Small pocket openings Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Overall, this is a nice coat. It keeps me warm down to 25 F, is waterproof and light. Midwest winter has already hit single digits and unfortunately, this coat is not for that with just the inner and outer liners. Also, the coat is somewhat difficult to put on and take off as the inner liner sleeves stretch out and bunch up. The next coat they make should have attachable sleeves and that should take care of that problem. Good things about the coat are that it doesn't get dirty easily and it's waterproof.
