| AKU got its start in the 1970s, when Galliano Bordin owned and operated a small, family-run shoe repair shop in Montebelluna, Italy. Over the next decade he expanded his operation and started what would become the AKU hiking boot and outdoor footwear company. Now, 30 years later, AKU hiking boots are sold in markets all over the world. Hiking boots and shoes from AKU-USA all feature quality materials and construction designed to last through many seasons of hard use. I have a pair of all leather AKU's from STP and love them. She has been putting them throught the paces around Ely, MN this summer and cannot say anough about how happy she is with them.

I have worn it several times now, and the only con I have for this shoe is that it is too stiff around the ankles.

They fit about half a size small and are more suited for small or narrow feet.
