AKU-USA |
| Shortly after World War II in Italy, AKU founder Galliano Bordin set about to learn the art of shoemaking and opened a welted boot factory in the 1960‘s. Now famous for their superior technology and Harmonic Lasts, AKU’s direct-injected pre-lasted boots are the perfect combination of lightness, flex and fit. For the exteriors, only top skin hides prepared by environmentally conscious tanneries are good enough to make it onto the cutting room floor. Inside the shoes, AKU’s proprietary Air 8000® Textile system ventilates feet eleven times more effectively than other commonly used materials. AKU boot makers have worked tirelessly to bring comfort and superior fit to people who walk on mountains. |
