About Acorn Slippers

Acorn slippers got their start when the company’s founder gave away nine homemade pairs of "slipper socks" to offer warmth and warm memories to his family. Therein a delightful cottage industry was born. Handcrafted Acorn slippers are renowned for their heavenly comfort, whether they’re slippers of luxurious merino sheepskin, boiled wool, or fleece. All Acorn slippers have famous memory foam cushion and indoor/outdoor soles.

From humble beginnings hand-crafting slipper socks to present-day factory production by skilled craftsmen, Acorn has always had one thing in mind: comfort. Acorn slippers are so incredibly warm and comfortable that astronauts take them to space and Sherpas pack them along on expeditions in the most extreme of conditions. Acorn sheepskin shoes and boots are naturally breathable, wicking and great for warming chilly feet around the fire or after a surfing session. Great socks, but beware of sizing... They last a long time and I haven't purchased any in the last couple of years. I think there's been a change in their sizing (shoe to sock). All my old socks are mediums, but when I ordered them recently they were too big. I wear a 7 1/2 or 8 shoe which falls into the medium range. I then purchased a small which fit perfectly (even after washing and drying). So, I returned all the mediums and re-ordered smalls. I've read similar comments online.
