I had to order a 9, when I wear a 81/2 M. It feels just fine. I could not have worn a smaller size. So they do run small. They are well made.

Only negative thing i could say is that the tongue of boot is in front where it zips, so it gets bunched up unless you smooth it out when you put the boots on. But really not that big of deal. Made very well and looks great.
