good quality waterproof boots By swallowtail from Albany, NY on 11/17/2009 Best Uses: Cold Weather, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Asolo always makes quality boots and these boots are well-built, durable, and hug my feet. They are on the ugly side but I only use them for outdoor work in the mud. They have a seam that can be irritating (peculiar to my feet) but I wear heavy socks and just need to keep the boots tight. And I look like a rocketman!

They were just great right out of the box. Have not exposed them to being submerged in water, but with the type of hiking I do they are great. I live in BC. where it rains a bit so far so good. I am sure that they would meet most peoples needs. I like them.

Too stiff if I tied the upper laces too tight. Once I loosened the laces, the boots fit right. I have only had time to wear them around town to break them in. I have yet to have tested them in wet or cold weather. I'm hopeful they will work out just right.
