I agree with the previous poster that it's a wide V, and yes, deeper than some v-necks, but not to the point of needing to worry about which undergarments you're wearing.
And yes, it's a shorter "high-hip" length. But I'm 5'10" and it's not problematic... just a question of what you're expecting.

Very nice quality knit, soft and smooth. I am a size 10 and got the Medium which fits nicely. Have not yet washed it but I think it should come out okay

The neck line is too low for me, although I have several friends that would wear it like it is. Not for the conservative dresser!
