| It may seem hard to believe that Betmar hats, one of the oldest millinery companies in America, was actually founded during the Great Depression - but at that time, the hat business flourished despite economic hard times. The name "Betmar" is actually a consolidation of Betty Marks (Betmar’s very first hat designer) and Elizabeth and Murray Marks (Betmar’s top hat salespeople). Three family generations later, Betmar still crafts some of the most magnificent women’s hats on the fashion scene, from fedoras and berets to chic caps and beach hats. Made from luxury materials like organza, felted merino wool, fine cotton and straw, Betmar Hats’ creations have practical uses like warmth and shade. But the real appeal of Betmar women’s hats are their elegant artistry. Whether it’s a sun hat, fedora or newsboy cap, you will most definitely notice a woman wearing a Betmar hat. |
