I had ordered the navy version, and loved them. The olive looked neutral and low-key in the photo. When I got them, the strap was dark brown. I checked the website to be sure I hadn't remembered wrong--sure enough, the strap is olive in the photo.BUT...the contrast strap is kind of cute, so I am keeping them.

I've had these for a LONG time, and it's very true that they mold to your feet and get more comfortable over time. When I first got them, I had to get used to the fact that the strap is pretty far forward on the foot, but it didn't take very long at all for me to fall in love with them. I am all about comfortable footwear and these are my favorite, most comfortable sandals that I own. I get heel pain if I do a lot of standing, but the Birkenstocks definitely minimize that.
I have worn these almost every day this summer - and I work outside so I'm constantly trekking through dust, dirt, puddles, and mud, but I've found them to be very durable, and the patent leather is so easy to clean - just wipe with a wet cloth and they look like they're brand new!
This is a very versatile style and they look good with anything, from jeans to skirts... I've gotten a lot of compliments on these, and people are surprised to learn that they're Birkenstocks! Plus, they price on these is great - I couldn't recommend them more.

I want them to last another summer because I LOVE THEM. I mostly like the strap across the arch of the foot and the strap by the toe keeps my big toe from moving around too much. The straps are perfect for my needs and the taupe suede goes with almost everything.
