Bushnell technology translates itself into more than just superior magnification. Coated optics reduce light loss and reflection glare for brighter, higher-contrast images. Fine-focus diopter rings adjust vision differences between the right and left eye, while eyecups are ideal for eyeglass wearers. By Missy the Wonderful Wife from Mt. Vernon, IL on 10/21/2009 Best Uses: Astronomy, Hiking/Backpacking, Hunting, Low Visibility, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought it for my husband's birthday and from what he tells me about the times he has used it, he is very pleased.
By GearSkeptic from Salt Lake City, UT on 10/14/2009 Pros: Compact, Lightweight Cons: Limited Range, Unstable Best Uses: Archery hunting Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased the Bushnell Yardage Pro, with the intention of using it for rifle big game hunting in the Western U.S. I was sorely disappointed in its performance in both sunny and cloudy conditions, with and without snow, in the Utah mountains.
I was unable to get a reading for objects beyond 325 yards, whether trees or ground, with or without snow cover. 280 yards was the limit of its ability to consistently range. From 280 to 325, I could only sometimes get a reading.
If you plan use it to establish your maximum ethical range at 300 yards or less, or hunt only archery, I suppose this product could be of some use, but past 300 it's useless. I'm returning it.
By curious Frank from Sheffield, VT on 10/03/2009 Pros: Low cost, Rugged, Will take picture Cons: Ineffective at night, Requires Computer SD slot Describe Yourself: Occasional Shooter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Only successful night photo was standing in front of camera! Will photograph whole area in daylight. Camera placement is therefore critical to successful use. Can not view picture unless you have a computer or Bushnell viewer!!!!
