| In 1946 five brothers who came home from the war established Commonwealth Home Fashions, named after their Royal Air Force squadron. Commonwealth’s window treatments had nothing to do with WWII, but a lot to do with creating cheer in the homes of the returning soldiers. Commonwealth curtains and window treatments brightened homes throughout Canada and England with their graceful design and beautiful details. Through the years, these talented brothers brought their decorative touch to bedding sets, comforters, throw pillows and shower curtains. When they arrived I was happily surprised to see that they were not the yellow tone pictured in your ad. I hung them, again skeptical, & they were perfect. The pattern complimented that of my plaid sofa directly in front & they diffused the light beautifully
