Earth shoes were inspired by Yoga devotee Anne Kalso, who believed most modern footwear to be incompatible with the natural alignment of our bodies. Anne knew that the foot was designed to tread soft surfaces like sand or dirt, but perhaps not the concrete walkways of today. With the help of a Portuguese shoe maker, Kalso designed a shoe that mimicked the contours of a sandy footprint. Really comfy-i wear these a lot.
