Five Ten |
| Five Ten is a family-owned company dedicated to producing superior climbing shoes, approach shoes and outdoor footwear. Founded by veteran rock climber Charles Cole in 1985, Five Ten has been reinventing the climbing shoe since day one. Starting by creating an all-new, high-friction rubber compound for shoe soles that he would later dub "Stealth," Cole set out to enhance gripping power and make rock climbing safer in the process. Today, Five Ten climbing shoes like the Anasazi slipper and Prima shoe are worn by some of the world’s best rock climbers. In fact, even endorsed climbers who are paid to wear shoes by other companies resole with Five Ten’s Stealth climbing soles. When it comes to performance on the rock face, few other companies hold a candle to Five Ten shoes. |

Great shoe but very small By zenalpinist from Chicago on 06/17/2009 Best Uses: Bouldering, Indoor Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Read the other reviews and bought a size 4.5 for my 9yr old who normally wears a 3.5, and they were still at least a half size too small. Looks like a great shoe, but in these sizes definately for tiny feet.
good shoe, terrible sizing By New to Outdoor from Missouri on 05/29/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Climbing shoes are supposed to be snug, but due to the discrepency between sizing and fit, the shoe was much too small. I think it would have been a good shoe, had I been able to get the correct size. They fit nicely while I was climbing, but my feet were screaming to be let out by the time I was back on solid ground.
By Barbara from DIVIDE on 05/07/2009 Pros: This is a great shoebut Best Uses: Long Climbs, Outdoor Describe Yourself: Avid Climber Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I climb at least three days a week...try to get in four days if I can. The Anasazi laceup shoe is a great shoe. I have a pair of the Anasazi Velcro. I bought what I thought was a US 5 1/2 Womens, the chart states comparable to size 4..I doubted this but when ahead and purchased this size. Whoa! Way off! If they had had my correct size , I would have exhanged them, especially for the price! This is a solid shoe but DO QUESTION their sizing chart.
