About Footwear
Patagonia is much more than an outdoor clothing company. Patagonia’s proactive approach centers on using products and processes that are least harmful to the environment... giving outdoor enthusiasts products that support the enjoyment and preservation of the earth and its delicate resources. Patagonia was the first outdoor clothing company to produce Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR®) fleece (made from plastic soda bottles) and began manufacturing their entire sportswear line of 100% organic cotton in 1996. Although it takes more time, knowledge and money to do so, Patagonia understands the importance of sustainable products and supporting bio-diversity and healthy ecosystems. Patagonia clothing is long-lasting, stylish and performance-driven to wick moisture, repel water and insulate during outdoor adventures. Donating one percent of sales to restoration and preservation of the environment and supporting over one thousand environmental grant programs, Patagonia is true to its promise to be "committed to the core." ... Great, especially for short women By Davidchef from Shenendoah valley Va on 11/13/2009 Pros: Breathable, Dries Quickly, Easy To Take On And Off, Good Footing, Petit women, Sizing is great for, Tough Material Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing, Saltwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: my short (petit wife) was contemplating spending 500 on custom waders. These work well as the bootie (foot) is not too big and the legs not too long.
By ezzie from Los Alamos NM on 11/13/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great jacket...it was a lighter weight than I had in mind for aerobic winter activities.
By lara from Monument, CO on 11/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Extreme Conditions, Hut trips, Snowboarding, Snowshoeing Describe Yourself: Conditioning Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love this jacket. I have the light smoke pants and they are my favorite for winter sports, so I figured I'd give the jacket a go. I've taken it snowboarding twice, and I love it. I've felt toasty in 30 degree weather.
I usually wear a small in Patigonia tops/jackets, but the medium (I'm 5'10" and 130lbs) gave me enough room to layer a fleece and likely a down vest within the jacket. I also love that the sleeves are extra long, which keep my wrists warm (unlike other jackets I own that are too short in the arms) because I can tuck my gloves into them.
