This is a solid bowl/mug that allows you to pare down one or the other if you generally take both. The screw top lid also lets you use it as food/miscellaneous storage in your pack. If you're an absolute minimalist, it's probably a bit of overkill - but if you like a comfortable eating experience (especially if you cook couscous, pasta, or anything that requires additional prep or dishware) this mug is excellent. Added bonus: just put hot water in, screw on the top, shake a couple of times....and dishes are done!
The Lexan plastic is bomber, and the cup seems built to last. The main drawback is the size of the handle, which can get in the way when packing this item.
