About Garmont Shoes
When
Garmont uses the term A.D.D., they're not talking about attention deficit. (If there's one thing
Garmont does, it's pay attention to details.) For Garmont, A.D.D. means Anatomically Directed Design—a comfort technology designed to mimic the natural contours and movement of your feet so you can concentrate on the wilderness before you. For more than 140 years, the Italian-born
Garmont has been making world-class boots for ski mountaineering, alpine free-riding telemark and backcountry skiing. Triple Injected construction allows an effortless forward flex without sacrificing torsional rigidity and turning control. From telemark touring to rugged ascents,
Garmont most definitely gives you the boot.

My first pair of Garmonts and they ended up being to tight right at the calf. Foot bed felt fine, but with the upper calf pinching they had to go. Ended up back with Salomon and their latest XC-10's.
Aggressive Treds, Nice Shoe
By MattK1 from San Ramon, CA on 10/24/2009 Pros:
Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction
Best Uses:
All Weather Conditions, Mixed Terrain
Describe Yourself:
Outdoor Enthusiast
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Very nice shoe. Aggressive looking and comfortable. Feels a bit wide, especially in the toe box (which is by design from what I understand). The underfoot cushioning is lacking, almost feels like there's no insole. I added one of those cheap foam insoles and that seemed to solve the problem. Overall, I'd recommend this for light hiking and kicking around.

Comments:
Love the traction. ran a little smaller than hoped, but after breakin fits ok.
