But the large was huge! The comments I read about the cut being boxy in the chest are right. There is alot of room there. So I returned it for the medium and I am very happy so far. I haven't worn it in heavy rain. But it keeps out the wind very well on runs. On drawback is a sticky zipper. I do like the jacket.

No way would these pants fit a 38" waist/average height. They are very nice, and instead of returning them, I gave them to a tall, more slender son.

My mother was out visiting from the east coast and loved this jacket -- amazing since we couldn't be more different! So I bought it for her for Christmas. What an incredible relief to have something that I know she will like this year!! The jacket is very warm, extremely well made with attention to detail, and very nice looking. We have the purple, which is very pretty. That said, the sizing does seem off. I normally wear a small, and a medium is just about right, but definitely couldn't get any smaller. The jacket is also longer than I normally wear, but since it is close-fitting, it doesn't hang and seem too long.
