I chose medium size...I have small-short hands but they are somewhat "square". This glove fit, but was way too tight for actual warmth in on a cold day. In Minnesota we have learned that a looser glove allows for heat to generate. I will probably give the one I ordered as a gift and then re-order a large for myself. I am almost petite at 5'4" and wear a 7-1/2 shoe, if that helps.

Comments:

I got a pair of those and glove liners for my climb on Elbrus, Russia. The gloves failed at around 10*F, and my hands got very cold. I had to use chemical warm pack to keep my fingers somehow alive. They may be OK for warmer weather ( 20s - 30s *F ), but forget them if you are going to do serious climb.

Good for winter sports and general use. Nicely finished leather glove and are also waterproof. That's a plus. I have had numerous Grandoe gloves over the years and they always wear well.
