J. G. Glover began as a family run, hand-frame knitting business in the late 18th century. For seven generations the company was based in Wigston, Leicestershire, knitting and trading in hosiery and textiles. J. G. Glover now produces five and seven gauge knitwear that’s finished to the highest standards and crafted of natural fibers and blends that bespeak the company’s roots. Made for both men and women in classic and contemporary styles, J. G. Glover draws from centuries of artistic experience while keeping an eye toward future innovations.

Very good quality. The comments on sizing were mixed and confusing, so I will add mine for anyone out there who is my size: I am 5'9" and lean/athletic (I wear a 6 or 8). I got the small and it fits great. It is fitted enough to not look frumpy but not so tight that having a thick shirt underneath makes it look too small. The length is great (to my hip bones) and the sleeves are long enough - but just barely.

Made from great wool and well contructed. On the down side the sizing is riidiulously larger than advertized. I have a 42" chest and typically wear size LARGE sweaters. I initially ordered a LARGE size of this sweater and received something that fit like a lumpy house dress. I sent it back and got a MEDIUM. Once again it was far too large for me; I would decscribe it as XX-LARGE. I considered returning it for a SMALL until I checked the website and noticed SMALL size was not available. I washed it in hot water and then dried it in the dryer and managed to shrink it to the perfect size!
I am now very pleased with the quality and fit of this sweater.

that being said, it really is a nice-looking, nice-feeling sweater. (yes, i did wear it.) the cable knit isn't as tight as i thought it was going to be, but still...it does look good. i'm thinking of giving it to one of my brothers or friends since they're all bigger than i am. (shhh...don't tell 'em i wore it.)
