Soft fleece and it fits well under my helmet. I Drive 40 minutes to work on my bike with a open face helmet and it has kept me warm in 40 degree weather at 65 - 70 mph. The problem is that it is not long enough to tuck into your jacket so you have to pull it down and expose more of your face or pull it up and expose the bottom of your neck. A turtle neck or high collar jacket would fix this but I am not going to buy a new riding jacket.

They give you the warmth of mittens, but the flexibility of gloves. The inside lining of these mittens is very soft and warm. The only drawback is that they are not water resistant, but I'm not planning on using them in really wet snow.
