It is lightweight but very sturdy. I live in snow country and have worn the hat hunting in two snow storms and one rain storm already and it does great, keeping my head warm and dry. Next stop is to wear it on my upcomming buffalo hunt! Funny thing I did not expect from wearing this hat, I have had many people at work and in my friends circle immediately comment to me they really like the hat, even before I could get my coat off! One even said this hat is way cooler than I am! Thanks Sierra for another great product!
