From the extreme climate of northern Canada comes Kamik, a footwear company that’s been keeping feet warm, dry, and comfortable in the harshest of conditions for over 100 years. Their inspiration comes from the stark contrast of the land, where glacier fields meet frost-bitten meadows, icebergs meet flower-laden trails, and purpose meets survival. Kamik utilizes the latest technologies to create exceptional hikers, snow boots, pac boots, and rain boots that survive the wild terrain and climate. All-weather leather, Kaxeric antibacterial insoles, Airstrip shock absorbers, layered insulation, and waterproof construction are just a few of Kamik’s innovations. By Diana hiker from Branford, CT on 11/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I hiked in the White Mountains New Hampshire .These boots went from the box to my feet and treated me great !
By cold feet from Flagstaff, AZ on 11/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've only worn these boots around the house so far, and they're fairly comfortable and really warm. I haven't worn these boots yet in snow, but it looks like at least the bottoms will keep my feet dry - I'm curious whether or not the upper part of the boot is really waterproof - it doesn't look like it, but they claim to be. They are lightweight for a winter snow boot, which should be a plus while snowshoeing. I also like that the upper part of the boot is soft and flexible, which should make them easier to drive in.
