| Proudly run by true mountaineers, Colorado-based La Sportiva North America makes footwear specifically for the vertical disciplines. Back in 1928, La Sportiva began by crafting wooden clogs and leather boots for the lumberjacks and farmers of the Italian Dolomites. Decades of experience led to the best climbing shoes around, motivating a group of American climbers to start bringing the shoes out of Italy to resell for profit. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shoe is a little too stiff fore and aft (not enough flex where my toes hinge) to be comfortable for me for running, but I am lightweight and like my running shoes pretty flexy. They are very comfortable and supportive for hiking. They are stiff enough that I can do talus and scree with no problem and the soles have excellent traction in loose or slippery conditions.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Solid running shoe with sticky rubber soles for occasional climbing/scrambling. I am on my second pair. Be sure to seam seal the stitches on the toe if you plan to do any rock climbing with them.
