By CW from Wyoming on 11/02/2009 Pros: Clears a lot of snow, Metal construction, Strong, Tough Best Uses: Icy Conditions, Powder, Shovel for vehicle, Slushy Conditions, White Out Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Works. Tough. Compact enough. Take in truck. I'm mostly inbounds, so I don't usually take it skiing/boarding but it is light enough. Light and tough is always a compromise on one side or the other. This one goes more towards tough. Great product, just not ultralight.
Solid Shovel, hate the flames. By Zigmondo from Seattle, WA on 05/11/2009 Pros: Durable, Lightweight Cons: Kind of Ugly, Poor construction Describe Yourself: Advanced Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I own the lexan lifelink which is really well made. Mine is a little melted from storage under the hood, but works fine. I hoped this onw would be as nice, but in allum.
I own a Violle and and BCA traverse shovels and this one does not feel nearly as well made as the other two. It was a pretty good deal, but I would not buy this again.
