By Sock Hop from Mill Valley, CA on 11/16/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I returned this product because the socks had been chemically treated and this was not disclosed in the product description. They reeked with a terrible and strong smell, and I tried to wash it out. The result was that the entire wash-load picked up the odor, but it did not wash out of the socks. I believe the chemical might have been an insect repellant. It left oily spots on the cardboard wrapper the socks came enclosed within. No one should be subjected to chemical exposure without their consent and choice.
