By RSA from NJ on 11/11/2009 Pros: Easy To Read, Stylish Describe Yourself: Athletic, Modern Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Beware!
I purchased a 1837 Luminux and one day after 4 months I looked down and noticed the crown was missing. I set the watch when I purchased it and never touched it again. The crown simply fell out. Understanding that these watches are touted for their reliability, I fully expected Luminox to repair the defect under warranty. I called the USA Luminox corporate headquarters in California and was told that my problem was not covered under warranty. They refused to stand by their product. Tough luck. So, if you purchase a Luminox watch and it starts to fall apart for no reason as mine did, be aware that you will receive no satisfaction from a company that supposedly prides itself in it's build quality.
By Wotcher from Cedar City, UT on 10/28/2009 Pros: Easy To Read, Good Quality Best Uses: Everyday, Travel Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted a watch that was easy to see in the dark and had a second time zone indicator. This Luminox fills the bill exactly.
The instructions are minimal and mine was shipped witha dead battery.

First two weeks has watch maintaining accuracy within two seconds checked against NIST radio time clock. Highly visible and easy to read day and night display. Very comfortable wide and flexible band.
