I only use them for my daily 4 mile walk and they should last longer than a year. The sole of the heel wore down to nothing.

I was a little hesitant with the higher price, but still got a great deal. These boots don't look like the style of tennis shoe or velcro models on the MBT lineup. To me these draw less attention as a comfort shoe, and they have the Gore-tex for cold and wet weather. I'd would buy these if you don't have a pair yet, but have been contemplating buying a pair.
