The sizing is a little larger than the ones I already own but you could wear a balaclava under it. When it gets to 40 degrees below zero these hats make it possible to keep working outdoors when everyone else has retreated for the fireplace.

Not the best choice if you break into a sweat during your outdoor activity as it will make a mess of the inside.
