Features like articulated knees, thermal pockets and internal flex boot gaiters are engineered into Marmot Pants. They come in warm configurations (fleece and 800 FP down), windproof soft shells and hard shells fortified by Marmot’s waterproof MemBrain® technology. I have owned a Marmot bag for a long time and it has never let me down in any way, so I knew I couldn't go wrong here. So far she has loved it and it has kept her plenty warm. Havent had an opportunity to try it out in anything below 40 degrees, but I dont doubt that it will perform nicely.
