It is a fairly heavy weight jacket so I wear it alone. The few times I have used it as a layer it was to hot.

Only used it once so far but... By way out there from Seattle, WA on 09/03/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I took this out on an overnight during hot weather and left the fly off. Nice to be able to see out the whole tent, not just the top or side. It was easy to set up. I am having a hard time finding a footprint for it. I hope to take it out this fall and see how it holds up in the rainy/dewy northwest.
