| After studying in the United States for six years, twenty-seven year old Martin Michaeli returned to Europe and founded Mephisto, a company that soon became synonymous with extraordinary footwear. Michaeli received his first patent for his special shoemaking process in 1973 and transformed Mephisto into a global brand just two years later. Famous for comfort, Mephisto utilizes exclusive technologies and offers finely crafted shoes with excellent cushioning, support, and breathability. The Air-Techno or fresh air system constantly circulates air throughout the shoe to avoid odor and clamminess. Air-Relax midsoles, Air-Step cushioned removable insoles, and the Soft Walk shock absorbing system are a few more Mephisto breakthroughs that define their continued popularity. Refreshing and rejuvenating, each and every step taken in a Mephisto feels like the first. |

They are so comfortabe that this is my third pair. I've walked the streets of Mexico with them, I wear them to work, I wear them around the house and even to church. They are stylish, yet have great arch support and are very durable. They are my ultimate favorite ever shoe/sandal.

I left the next day for New York City and debated about taking a "new" pair of shoes along. But I am so GLAD I did...they were so totally comfortable that I wore them every day. Then I put on knee hose and wore them to the play on one night and a concert another night.
