By Wolf from Washington, DC on 1/9/2008
Pros:
Abrasion Resistant, Comfortable, Tough
Best Uses:
Poor Weather, Street Riding
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments: I don't ride in the rain, so I can't speak to those issues. However, I've been looking for warm gloves for regular winter riding for about five years, and these are by far the best. They are warmer than the second best plus glove liners. My fingers haven't gotten past "slightly cold", compared to "so numb I'm worried about working the controls". Pretty good find.
Best for long rides in very cold weather
By J.D. from San Francisco, CA on 11/10/2007
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments: These gloves are very warm - in fact, warmer than I'll ever need around San Francisco. They are well-made and very functional.
Handles the cold, but not steady rain
By Wnd, rain, & wther, hell bnt 4 Goretex from Mid Michigan on 10/29/2007
Pros:
Abrasion Resistant, Breathable, Comfortable, Tough
Best Uses:
Cold weather but not wet, Long Rides, Protection
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments: Just road from MI to WV and back. Gloves work well if not raining steady, keep hands warm (e.g. on Saturday rode 480 miles, gloves kept hands warm entire time, even in light rain). If raining and cold, then gloves not useful. I'll stick with waterproof goretex gloves I use for skiing from now on, give these to friends who don't ride in the rain.
