By Blkbart from San Diego North County on 12/18/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Handles Well, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wow, this bike's frame is awesome! The dull blue paint disguises the awesome aluminum frame, I had my frame polished and it is beautiful! The chain guard and fork are steel so I ordered an aluminum Mosso fork off of E-bay and had it polished too. I now have F & R disc brakes w/ Avid calipers and a Shimano 7 speed hub. This sucker turns heads and is awesome to ride. Well worth the new lower price being offered. You could not even begin to build the frame for the asking price. I feel the Nirve has the most unique frame design of all of the cruisers and it has the attached kickstand to boot. You need to look beyond the ugly dull color and blacked out accessories and with a little work have a truly awesome cruiser.
