Pajar was established in Montreal in 1963 by an French family experienced in the European art of shoemaking. Founder Paul Golbert recognized a niche in the Canadian market for sheepskin-lined boots, and hence the birth of Pajar boots. His son Jacques graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Lausanne, trained at France's École de la Chaussure, and succeeded his father as CEO of Pajar shoes in the 1980s. Pajar boots pioneered the development of leather, shearling-lined boots, and now the Pajar Group manufactures high quality, waterproof boots that keep your feet warm in the harshest winters with the utmost in footwear style. Pajar continues to develop and implement techniques to improve their winter boots. With the addition of a patented insulating mid-sole (Iso-Lana) made up of small air bubbles between layers of aluminum, felt, and wool, Pajar boots can withstand severe cold up to -74 degrees Celsius. They are the first thing I reach for every morning to walk the dog since the grass can be wet and I often walk on rolling terrain. This boot works well in the snow and is fine to wear over or under trousers. The fleece lining is nice.
