They are a bit heavy though. I thought they'd be a little more sleek. I'll keep them though.

They're fashionable enough to wear with pants into Copenhagen for shopping, but fit the purpose of country living.

Though I initially wanted them in brown, I settled for black and was less than thrilled. I put them on and immediately had visions of boot camp rather than cute, snowy days frolicking through snow. Seriously, they look like combat boots and not in a good way. So if you're looking to pull a GI Jane look, have at these. Otherwise, I'd give them a pass.

I usually wear a size 10 N, but bought these in a 9-1/2 M. Because they have laces and a strap to tighten the boot, they fit fine if I wear medium to heavy socks. Nice looking boots. The heavy tread will be a plus in snow and ice. I expect I'll get a lot of use out of them.

They are well made. I have narrow feet and ankles so the laces and buckle allowed me to make them snug at the instep and ankle while still allowing plenty of wiggle room in the toe even with heavy socks. I wore them all day the first day and they were very comfortable. I haven't had snow or really cold weather to wear them in yet. The water proof finish is not as shiny as some leathers but still looks nice.
