Very comfortable and warm; true to size. By Ghoststudio from Brighton, MI on 01/21/2009 Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very comfortable, warm, attractive, sleek design. Good traction. I have thin-to-average calves, so I thought I'd take the chance. While these fit true-to-size, I have to wear thin to med. weight socks - so if you like thick socks, go 1/2 size up. These weren't made to breath, so I would recommend an anti-microbial sock such as Van Heusen anti-microbial dress socks. I have no problem with smell or sweating, but I'm taking long-term precautions. I will definitely wear Blondo again. My other fav. brands are Mephisto Niro, Finn, and Ecco.
WARMEST BOOTS I'VE EVER WORN. By Lady T from New York on 01/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I live in New York and this winter has been one of the coldest winters we have had in a very long time. To top it off, we also had snow. I wore my Blondo's in the cold and the snow and I was truly impressed. My feet stayed warm, dry, and most of all I didn't slip while walking. Buy the boots. Economy isn't all that great and the boots are a bargain and worth every nickle, dime and penny.
Comfortable boots and cute too! By Dog Mom from Thousand Oaks, CA on 01/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Snowshoeing, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Although living in S.CA we don't get much rain I still want my feet dry! When you find a comfortable shoe or boot you usually forfeit style. That isn't the case with these boots. These boots are attractive boots and easy to wear.

By Oddprofessor from Rochester, NY on 01/15/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have an ancient pair of Sorel boots that are heavy and very utilitarian, but they are warm and waterproof and give me great traction. Finally I decided that I wanted a better look for work and church, but yowza! Sorels are expensive! So I started looking for a more affordable boot, and found these Blondos. I ordered a size 9 (I usually wear an 8 - 8.5 W) and they're perfect. The soles grip in the slush, the waterproofing is great and they look beautiful, more shoe-like than boot-like. I missed the stitching on the top of the foot when I was looking at the picture online. (I guess I didn't look at the large pic.) It came as a pleasant surprise when I opened the box. They're very attractive.
I'll still use my clunky old Sorels for heavy-duty use, like snow shoveling, but these Blondos will do very well for times that I want to look a little more put-together.

It is pretty warm and comfortable and stylish as well. Good in the snow weather as well as in the non-snowing days.
By Avid traveler from Austin, TX on 01/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Removable insoles, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Little arch support, Narrow fit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I live in Texas, where a typical winter day is in the 50s and you can't even find waterproof, insulated boots in stores. So before taking a trip to Chicago in January, I talked with friends there and realized that my shoes were going to be really inadequate unless I wore my hiking boots. Not posh enough!
I bought these for the dressy-casual looks and functional features. They have a low heel that dresses them up and grippy soles that feel secure on snow. In the teens and 20s my feet still got cold, but the faux fur lining did make a difference.
The zippers make for easy on-and-off, great for leaving the boots at the door to avoid tracking in salt & snow. They also have removable insoles, appealing if you want to add an orthosis or use more supportive insoles.
They are a bit narrow, though, and have little arch support. Because of the low heel, my feet slide forward and my toes touch the front of the shoes. I'd recommend ordering a half size larger; wear thick socks or add foam insoles to compensate, if you need to.
