Good looking comfortable shoe By Homer from NC on 06/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great shoes. I really like the distressed look and how they distress as you wear them. They are very comfortable but I would prefer some more arch support.
Looks good, doesn't feel great By Mosh Pit Zen from Chicago on 04/14/2009 Pros: Durable, Looks Great Cons: Causes Hotspots or Blisters, Uncomfortable Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Although the shoes do look great, the insides are not as comfortable as my other pairs of Docs. Also, the back of the shoes are thinner than usual, which causes the heal to rub up on your ankles and create a bruise.
By danjoe from Korea on 02/14/2009 Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Fell a little under-dressed for office. However this could be due to light weight construction. Not great for winter.
Nice shoes with a different look By Eric from NC on 01/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Looks Great Best Uses: Business Casual, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Style Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I normally only wear boots (Keen's or Danner) and I decided to give a casual pair of shoes a try this time. These were different than most (which I liked) and seem to fit very well. They are comfortable and the look allows me to wear them to work/office. Coming from Keen's I normally prefer a very supportive insole with great arch support. These have decent arch support but I personally wish they had more. The heel cushions are nice and the wide toe box is great. As others have said, the insole has a raised cushion up front that feels very weird. It feels like your socks are bunched up all the time but it does have a soft feel. It takes a little getting used to but the good thing is my Keen insoles feet perfectly in these shoes! I may switch them and see which I prefer.
Overall the shoes are VERY nice and I would purchase them again. I think the insole is better than most and should satisfy anyone who doesn't require a lot of arch support. Otherwise, just buy inserts and these shoes would be perfect. Definitely worth the money! Really cool shoes that provide good comfort.

Feels slightly wider than I'm used to but not uncomfortable. In my mind you can't go wrong with Doc Marten, I've owned probably 5 pairs of boots & this set of oxfords, I'm sure I'll buy more in the future.

I love the brand and it is not easily available in my market. The internet makes it so much easier to get.
By ChicagoTTU from Chicago on 11/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Looks Great, Stable Cons: Doesn't breathe so well Best Uses: Business Casual, Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great shoe to wear in a business-casual environment or out at the bars with jeans. Initially, they felt a tad big, but not to the point I couldn't wear them. Initially, the insole feels a little different, not like your typical DM's, however they are a comfortable shoe. and of course they might cause your feet to get sweaty at times, but such should be expected from a thicker leather shoe. All around a great shoe with enough style that function and comfort are not sacrificed.
