By Free at last from South Carolina on 04/13/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Boating, Camping, Hikinh Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just got these so haven't used them yet. I hope the open legs at the shoe won't bother me. I am used to having some way to tighten this part of my rain pants. And I wish they were roomier for layering. I will find out this summer on vacation in a very wet place. But they look like they will be fine. don't know yet if I'd recommend them or not.
Fits fine, noise level is pretty loud By urbanbabyboomer from Boston on 03/16/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I read the reviews and thought how noisy can noisy be, at least on me, with fairly muscular legs, the pants crinkled and cracked with every movement. I guess in certain situations (really windy slopes) you may not hear them, but on quiet walks, skating, or during lunch after skiing, they're loud in a strange way.
By Peggy from Santa Clara, CA (Silicon Valley) on 01/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I will be wearing mine for the first time next week on a hike to see the elephant seals. I'm confident I will be warm and comfortable.
By Climbing Laura from Oakland, CA on 10/24/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Advanced Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Paclite is a great waterproof fabric and the price was great, but the sizing is weird. I first ordered the size "44". I'm 5'7, size 6. The pants fit okay if I were just standing and walking on flat ground, but if I bent my leg as if hiking, climbing, or biking they rode up several inches and would not have protected my shins or ankles from rain. They have no internal gaiters either, so it's important that they are long enough. Since I primarily want them for emergency rain gear while climbing, I exchanged them for a larger size, 48. I'm keeping these because they're such a good deal, lightweight, packable, and the legs are long enough...actually they're a little too long but doable.
