I use it as my outer layer for cold weather runs (sub 30 degrees F). It blocks wind very well while remaining exceptionally breathable. It's not waterproof, but that's not what it was designed for. It functions perfectly as a high activity cold weather shell with a couple layers underneath. Love it.
