By ipnyc from nyc on 01/27/2009 Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good coat that is formal and useful in colder weather. The material is very nice quality, fit is good, but runs a bit large. We exchanged for a smaller size.
By Aj from Trenton, NJ on 01/19/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The best quality about this coat is that it can be worn as a top coat for dressy occasions or with jeans for a more casual look.
By TP from Chicago on 01/19/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Going Out, work Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good top coat for the price. The Herringbone stitching is more subdued than one finds in other coats of this style. Like all top coats, sizing is geared towards wearing a suit/sport coat underneath, so if you intend to primarily wear without one, buy a size smaller. My only concern about the coat is the placement of the button holes. They are cut a tad too close to the end of the jacket for my liking. Could be a problem over time.
By DB from Virginia Beach on 01/18/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I liked the look, but unfortunately it was a large fit and STP did not have one size smaller.
By mmm from Chicago on 01/12/2009 Best Uses: Nighttime, Work Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this coat for business use for Michigan/Minnesota/Chicago winters. In Chicago, I spend a great deal of time outside walking. It's warm and comfortable. Leave the top button undone with your scarf.
The fit is as described, buy your normal size. My jackets fit under it fine. The pockets are deep and made of wool so they should be fairly durable.
