I wanted a map of that region to show my son the History of the ancient region and where the war is taking place and where members of our family served. It is a very impressive map for the price.
Great map but notice it's from 2003 By momof3 from Exton, PA on 11/05/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality Describe Yourself: Comfort-Oriented, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Present for my son. He loves maps & decorates his walls with them. Notice that this map is from 2003 so the political map, although interesting and beautiful, is incorrect. But the other side is great!

By prosperare from Ohio, the Heart of it All! on 06/21/2009 Describe Yourself: Career, Classic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice map of the area, but still just a map. 4 out of 5 stars simply because this area is difficult to find in a good map. This is a nice layout of an area that is, of course, worthy of study (by kids and adults alike).
By Johnny Red from Fair Oaks CA on 02/19/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, High Quality Describe Yourself: Career, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The kind of map that appears in National Geographic issues, so not as special as I thought. It was also dated in that it was pre-Iraqi Freedom War under George W. Bush. Having been a veteran of that conflict however, I found some of the data quite interesting and useful. This was a sale price, but with shipping, it hardly made it a value purchase.

By seneca from norfolk, va on 05/11/2008 Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My boyfriend is currently in Iraq and I bought this for him to mark and send home to his children. It's a great educational tool and gives them a common reference point when their dad talks/writes to them. Would recommend as a gift to any deployed [to Iraq] parent and their kids to offer an additional way for them to "connect" and educate the kids at the same time.
