The hood is not a typical hood, but larger in width to accommodate a special hair day. It is not thick, but a not-too-thin fabric that feels like silk. The black color is a pure black. The white is not a bright white if that is what you are looking for, but still white. It is a pricey item, but if you add up the cost of several cheap hoodies from some places that pill up on the inside, it is worth it, if you get it on clearance and a 20% off [...]. I give it an A.

The material is thin and sleek; it is attractive, but not versatile enough for my needs. I was looking for something I could use as a summer, slightly dressy, light jacket that could go with different outfits -- it did not work for me. If it would fit your needs, it's a nice product.
