Always satisfied with Asolo shoes By Bill from San Antonio on 11/13/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I buy my everyday footwear from sierra trading for value and quality. These shoes hold up well, support feet better, and outlast regular tennis shoes three to one. Once they break in they fit like gloves. Besides, it is sometimes difficult to find a tennis shoe that isn't multicolored, over- engineered, or just stupid looking in design.

Comfortable out of the box; hold up well By waldomac from New Mexico on 10/22/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are wonderful and comfortable on the very first wear. They are not quite as snug and form-fitting as I'd expected, but hardly loose or unstable. I was worried that, because they fit so well immediately, they'd get loose and unstable, but they have maintained the same level of comfort for a year now. If I were going into extremely varied and unlevel terrain, I'd opt for a boot for better ankle support, but the same could be said for any trail "shoe." These are tops. I'm going to get another pair just like them.
My first Asolo not as good as Merrill By Don from Western Washington on 10/21/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction Cons: Arch Support, Poor Cushioning Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: In the Northwest I MUST have a waterproof shoe for daily use. I am outside daily and love the fact I can hose these off when they get muddy! These shoes have been pretty good but I've only had them a couple weeks. I compare them to Merrill trail shoes which I've worn the last couple years but are no longer available. These Asolo are not quite as cushioned compared to the Merrill. There was no breakin like I had with Merrill. The soles have WAY better grip than the Merrills which tended to slip on wet hard surfaces like rock or even a smooth surfaced sidewalk.
By Lost, again from Scaggsville, MD on 10/06/2009 Pros: Durable, Stabilizes Foot Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Have only a few miles on them but these shoes seem rugged and the tongue design should keep the water out. Bought them sized like my other outdoor shoes; a full size larger than dress shoes. These shoes run a bit wide. I plan to add cushion via aftermarket insoles; I won't have to replace shoes due to cushion wearing out before soles - I'll just buy new insoles.
